Utopie is a two-week web project developed by Bill Foulks, Cody Young, Gio Huh, and me during Le Wagon's full stack web development boot camp in 2023. It is a platform that allocates information and resources for creative programming and creative software. Our goal is to offer visual inspiration, technical information, and foster an active, interactive learning community. The website address is www.utopie.site This project is rooted in my interest for creative coding. While studying web development, I encountered frustrtion with the absence of engaging front-end content and visuals, and I also faced technical obstacles when transitioning to a new media program from my undergrad fine art major. In my final pitch, I proposed creating a website to assist artists and self-learners in the creative technology field. The platform would enable users to share their discoveries, post questions, and exchange insights about various creative tools.

My role in the project focuses on front-end development, including all the visual and style design. The following is my initial prototype design in Figma, and unfinished website test on localhost.

After receiving feedbacks from various web developers, we decide to make the design more concise and easier to navigate. I transformed the initially quirky design into a clean white interface, with some thematic colors as design accents. Here is the final look.
